When Simone enters the room, the kindness level skyrockets. She has a HUGE heart and will always, ALWAYS, find beauty in anything, anyone, and every situation. 

Simone originally came from São Paulo to New York for a short period of time to learn English. But that all changed when an unexpected friendship blossomed into more.   They were an unlikely pair: Dave, an Iranian Jew and Simone, a Brazilian Christian.  But God knows best!  They married and Simone had the privilege of becoming a stepmother to Dave’s 2 older children and later, a mama to 2 girls of her own.

Her story with Miss Mason was also unexpected. Simone was a teacher by training with 15 years working in traditional schools so she never imagined herself homeschooling.  Through Charlotte Mason’s philosophy of education, she found not only a new way to teach, but a new way to live as well.

Miss Mason taught her that despite the challenges of balancing working from home and homeschooling, parents are qualified for their children’s education.

We were blessed to have Simone with us for our first season, but the Lord has called her to other commitments.  We are grateful for all the encouragement and insight she shared with you here.
