With Tara Sood in Guam

Today LaShawne chats with her friend Tara who lives in Guam.
Tara Sood was born in Littleton, New Hampshire and raised in Colorado and Texas. She travels and lives around the world along with her Navy husband and 3 boys. Guam is currently home.
Tara holds three degrees: MFA in Painting and Drawing, MS in Agriculture, and a BS in Nutrition as well as Registered Dietitian license and works in these capacities as time allows. She maintains an experimental garden in each place she lives and helps her husband in research and consultation for dietetics. Tara is an artist and passionate about working in oil and charcoal from life be it outdoors, figures, or real objects. As she produces art from life; the practice inspires and informs her current studio projects. One of her ongoing series is entitled The Japanese Potter: the Art and Process. She uses oil paint as a medium to document Japanese artisans and their love of nature and its beauty, while they produce their pottery. Tara shows regularly in local, national, and international shows. She teaches online and in- person lessons and classes in painting and drawing throughout the year.
At the moment she is serving the Lord by actively homeschooling her three boys using the Charlotte Mason method. She is active in interpreting this methodology into home and life. Being married to a naturalized American, Indian culture makes its way into her home through language, food, and outlook. Her main purpose in life is serving and following Christ Jesus. Her favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5,6.
